Give back to God what is God’s (i.e. His people), because in other parts of the bible Jesus made it clear that the Pharisees had God’s people shut up in bondage to the law, and they were stopping people from being saved (Mat 23:13), but Jesus mission was to set these captives free![/quote] agreed... also, I\'d like to point out Romans 12:1 \"Therefore, I urge you brothers, in view of God\'s mercy, to offer your bodies as [b]living sacrifices[/b] holy and pleasing to God; this is your spiritual act of worship.\" This verse basically says the same thing. a lot of the time, we view the word \"sacrifice\" as meaning to give up our life, to die for Christ, which we should be willing to do. But, this verse says that we should be \"living sacrifices,\" which means that we should live our life as a sacrifice to Christ.
