I am convinced so by what Jesus said; "I am the vine, you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If anyone does not remain in me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up and thrown into the fire and burned." John 15:5-6 One fine detail that Jesus says twice is the the word [i]remain[/i]. He makes it clear in past sermons that he is the only way to the Father. But it is possible to become devoid of this right if you [i]do not remain in him[/i]. For he will be "picked up and thrown into the fire and burned" if he does not. It is clear by the way he uses this word to hint that it is possible for one to lose sight of Him and fall. rebuttals?
