So far in college, I have had all A's in all of my classes. My first week grade in Algebra is failing. Why do we even have to learn Algebra? I don't see any instances when I am going to have to know the difference between a rational number and an irrational number, or the difference between a number that is real and an un-real number.

Sounds like quite an unsettling subject there, Matt.

And I'm sure you'd be surprised how useful it is, Ken.

Engineer? Wow. Didn't see that coming. Good luck. Trig sounds like a scary subject to me . . . .

yep. i wanna be an electrical or a petroleum engineer. electrical just because i like electricity. and petroleum because there are 5 huge refineries around here and it would be a good paying job (107K out of college!)

107K?!? Wow, we're all in the wrong business.

Such as me. Math and I aren't friends. Never have been.
