So what do y'all think of the new (and improved?) Joy Williams and/or her new group: The Civil Wars. Personally, I'm not sure what I think. I like the music, but it's SUCH a different sound and look for her. Plus she's made it publicly known that she is NOT a Christian artist anymore (she's still Christian... just not a Christian artist). I'm all for exploration and finding yourself and everything... but this is really different. So I don't know. The music is good though. Her solo work is similar to Sara Bareilles while her group work is sort of a haunting take on the music from Once (think of some of Marketa Irglova's music).
