He's a pretty popular Christian author, and some libraries have quite a few of his books. I have yet to see it though.
Yeah, I thought I had heard that. Personally, the Visitation wasn't one of my most favorite of his books, so I never really tried to find the movie.
The movie was good (except for the computer animation :pinch: ) if you haven't read the book...because the storyline is different.
In what ways is the storyline different from the book?
The main dude's background is completely different (it's been a LONG time since I've either read the book or watched the movie) and is given through a couple news articles during the opening credits. The fake Jesus has one item in his background that's the same, and that's how he got his scars. The ending is completely different, as well as how everything unfolds, really.

I was told that Hangman's Curse was close to the book, mainly because Perretti wouldn't leave the producers alone.

Yeah, there were a few differences. But it's very similar. Great movie!

I read The Oath about a month ago and loved it! I'm going to read Monster as soon as I can let go of a Maximum Ride book lol

I just re-read The Oath a few months ago. That would make one awesome movie, but only if the don't do a typical 'christian movie budget'. Yuck. I love Frank Perretti, and I don't think I disliked any of his books, though Monster wasn't as good as the others. The Door in the Dragon's throat weirded me out, not when I read it, but about four or five years later, actually. My older sister and I were hanging out in town, and somehow we wound up at the front door of the basilica, kinda like a mini cathedral. Anyway, they had these massive massive doors, like two stories or more, and we both just stood there looking up at these doors for about a minute. Alicia looked at me and said 'You know what I'm thinking?' then we both said 'The door in the dragons throat!' We took off running soo fast, and I've never been back since. That was a bit more than a year ago and it still freaks me out. And I never finished the Tombs of Anak, it freaked me out too much. I was only eight or nine, but still. I think I've read all of his books, but I'm always looking for more.

Really? I'd like to see that. Was it any good, or was it one of the infamous 'christian' movies?

I read Monster and House. House is ten times better but they were both really good.btw the are really kinda scary:evil:

haha yeah. If you liked House try some of his older books. Monster wasn't especially scary, but some of the older ones were. The Oath is maybe the closest to House, and then there are the Darkness books- This Present Darkness and Piercing the Darkness. I hope he does write another of those.
