check it out, just like there are many different words that mean pretty much the same thing in english (like pretty, beautiful, gorgeous....), there are also many different words in spanish that mean pretty much the same thing. hermosa, bella, linda....they all work and i agree with nate. here in california, depending on where you go (especially where i live), spanish can get you farther than english
