I'm sorry to be saying it, but I'm just telling the truth. My friends are just downright stupid. They all ask me for dating advice, and I always give them the same advice I give the girls on here. But what do they do? They go and date some stupid sex-craving teen boy anyway, who always ends up breaking their heart. Then, they end up coming and crying to me about it. I know that you all are probably going to tell me "Oh, just let it pass and be there for them when they need it. . ." but I can't anymore. I can't sit back and watch them make the same stupid mistake over and over again. I guess there's nothing I can do about it. They're still going to ignore me, they're still going to be immature, and they're still going to date moronic boys. But I just wish they'd stop acing so immature when it's over and I told them the same exact outcome anyway. If I could say one thing to the person who has upset me, it'd be: "You are not the only one who has gone through this and it is not the end of the world, so stop acting like it! Maybe if you'd listen, you wouldn't get heartbroken." *sigh* I'm just over it. This is what creates drama in my life. This is why I am going to go prematurely grey and eventually bald. Because my stupid immature friends don't understand what dating is about. I could rant about this all day, and I don't think you all would ever understand how sick and tired I am of hearing who loves who, who broke up with who, who is dating who, blah blah blah. I won't even get started on the love thing because you'd never hear the end of it. *has epiphany* I'm going to find that wonderful thread that I wrote and I'm going to post it on Myspace. That's it. Maybe someone will read it and decide to stop acting like an idiot. [/rant]

You can teach the brain, but you'll never reach the hormones. ;) i know your pain hon. 4 pregnant friends. all grew up in the church, took the vows, but in the end the hormones won even though they had wisdom beat into their thick skulls all their lives. Sometimes its best to not be set for the pre-advice, but for catching them when they stray really. I've learned that's all i can really do for some people. Give good advice at first, but don't get too set on that being the only way for them to live. We've got to bend with them sometimes, in a way that will reach them where they are. Even though it's sooo very repetitive, its still worth it in their worlds. ;)
