A Sweet Thought to all other lonely girls

I've always loved, just adored fairy tales! I love everything from Cinderella to Enchanted, from Sleeping Beauty to Ella Enchanted. But there is one fairy tale I have really been able to relate to lately-Snow White. If you remember, Snow White was a beautiful woman who ran around singing about her prince coming to sweep her off her feet and rescue her from the nice but icky dwarves. She waited patiently, and when the time was right, her prince came into her life...and they lived happily ever after. That story ended nicely. But what if Snow White got tired of waiting for her prince to come because the evil witch kept telling her that her prince would never arrive? What if she believed the lies....and decided to date Grumpy the dwarf instead of waiting for the prince she was promised? Then, what if her prince really did show up.....but she was already taken by someone less than who she deserved? Wouldn't the story end on a sour note? How many times do we do that? How many times do we believe the Evil One's lies that God will never bring the right guy into our lives, so we might as well settle for a jerk? Or, more often, when we're waiting for the guy in our lives, how often do we forget the One who's waiting for us to fall in love with Him? Tonight, if you're waiting for your prince to ask you on a date, then why don't you instead spend time with the King of Kings, who is DYING for you to have a date with Him?
