Hey girls, I would like ya'll's advice on something. Yes it has to do with a guy but its not like one of those "i love him, what do i do to make him love me back" type threads. =) I'm 17 and I've never had a boyfriend, I haven't ever been asked out either. I've always been shy around guys but this past year or so I've started not to be so shy =) so this whole situation is a little new for me. Recently I've started hanging out with this awesome, Christian guy at my church. And I like him and I'm OK with just being friends, at least for now anyway. Well, some of my girl friends, and myself as well, think that he likes me too by the things he does and the way he acts. But the whole thing is, since I'm not sure where he stands I don't want to get my hopes up or do anything to ruin our friendship i.e. tell him I like him (which I wouldn't do by the way). So, I say all that to say: how do I keep myself from getting my hopes up or doing something to ruin our friendship? I may almost be an adult but there's still stuff I need help/advice on...so any advice ya'll may have would be greatly appreciated =)

Shoot, this is a hard one. I've always had a problem with getting my hopes up, so there isn't much I can say. Maybe try to keep yourself busy with excercise or something. Or just try not to focus on him too much. And you can always cling to G-d a little tighter, and ask Him to help you not get your hopes up. :) I'll be praying things work out.

I'm in the same boat chica! I find keeping myself busy helps keep my mind off him. When I do think about this guy I pray and ask God to help us keep Him in the centre of our relationship and that his will be done.
