Recently I've been thinking about working with horses to see if I like it, But my dad doesn't like horses, and my mom doesn't care for them either. I live in the middle of nowhere, so I was having a lot of trouble finding places that even own horses. Well I found two barns sort of near my house, but now I'm afraid to approach my parents about it. I'm really shy, and I know my parents will make me talk to the owners myself. I know it's not a bad thing, but even the thought of it makes me want to go hide in my room. Any advice on how to approach my parents/the horse owners?

If you really want to do it then you'll have to overcome your shyness and ask. Get the first bit out of the way and ask your parents, see what they have to say. If they say yes and make you ask the owners then make a plan of attack. Try calling them first. If you're likely to forget what you need to say then write it down and have it infront of you. When it comes to meeting them remember deep slow breaths and think about what you're going to say before you say it. :)
