"Already Over"-Red You never go You're always here Suffocating me Under my skin I cannot run away Fading slowly I Give it all to you Letting go of me Reaching as I fall I know it's already over now Nothing left to lose Loving you again I know it's already over Already over now My best defense Running from you Cost me everything I can't resist Take all you want from me Breaking slowly You're all I'm reaching for It's already over All I'm reaching for It's already over now This is an awesome song with two meanings. First Meaning: Temptation This may surprise you a bit, but it's true. Temptation is always there. It never leaves us. Satan is always trying to kill us, to "suffocate" us. And it gets "under our skin" to the point where you can't even run away. It's all around you. It doesn't matter what kind of temptation it is. It could be the sexual temptation. It could be the temptation to kill yourself. It could be the temptation to run away from God. It could be even just a small temptation like telling a little white lie. It doesn't matter. Temptation is all around us. Satan hates us, so, that's what he sends us, and oftentimes, that temptation causes us to break. But we only have one question to face: Do we give in or not? Often times in our lives, we do give in. We "give it all" to that temptation. We give all of ourselves into that temptation. We give the risk of it ruining our lives. We let go of all of ourself and give in. And this temptation sinks in. It sinks in fast, and the only thing we have left to do is run. So, we run. We run as fast as we can, but often, it's in the wrong direction. We fall into more and more temptation. That's the problem with temptation. We run from one right into another, but it's still the same source, Satan. All of a sudden, our life shatters and we've lost so much, everything we think is so important. What do we do now? Well, we give up. We go right back into the temptation. All of a sudden, the temptation is what we strive for. We can't resist it so we run after it. This is what the song means by "it's already over now." We give in to the temptation and it's already over. Game over. We lose. Our life is now Satan's. That's a horrible life, living for our temptation, no matter what it is. But there's hope. That's where the second meaning comes in. Second meaning: God He's always there, whether we realize it or not. He's always just waiting for us to run to Him, to give Him all we are, all we have. We can't run away because He's everywhere, all around us. But, we try. We try to run as far as we can because we are afraid of giving our lives away again. We tried it once, didn't work out so well. We got hurt. Scars were left on us from temptation. We don't know if God's going to do the same thing that temptation did to us. The only thing is that we have no where else to go. The temptation has already led us so far away. Our circumstances have done the same. We decide to give ourselves to God. We "reach as we fall." We reach as far as we can, and God grabs us. We're still afraid though, but we don't hold back. We've heard the stories about how God works in people's lives and we just let go of ourselves. Here's the good news: now it's really "already over." Once we make that decision, it's over. We're pulled out of the gutter and into God's arms. Once we give our all to God once again, God is going to use us as a part of His plan. He has a plan for us, and our sacrifice to Him is the first step to becoming a part of that plan. "It's already over." We're safe in His arms, for all of eternity. Wow. When we give in, we can run to God. When we can't go on anymore, we can run to God and know that it's "already over." We're His, no questions asked. We're His. God, let me truly give all of myself to you
