am I right with God?

Before I came to christ and to know His truth, I did something really badin the past. This was 9 years ago, and I repented of it, but it still bothers me. Any advice? I need to kno if God wants me to pray about it more, or if Satan is just trying to grab onto my past and discourage me?

i've done stuff i ain't too proud of, and still do. i've repented, but i know how hard it is to just let go.

Everyone who has posted here is right. When you've given something to God and asked His forgiveness and turned from it, it's gone. God throws it out, and it's not there anymore. I know that the guilt is still hard to deal with - I've been there. A friend once told me not to hold myself to higher standards than God does - He's forgiven me (and you), and that should be enough for us. We don't have to worry about it anymore. So don't worry - you're God's child whom He loves, and your slate is wiped clean. :laugh:

I've struggled with this myself so many times. I now go to God in prayer and thank him for his forgiveness and ask him to help me with my feelings about it. God is the great healer.
