I have a nephew who is 12 years old who lives in Colorado with my step-sister... his mom. He comes back around here every summer to spend time with his dad, and my mom gets him every now and then while he is with his dad. Usually, I wait for my mom to get him so that we can both get a good visit with him at one time. For a long time that has worked out great. Last year, I suggested to my mom that we take my nephew to a water park here in Mississippi. She called me several weeks later telling me that she had taken him to the water park. This year, she had him the whole week of the 4th of July and didn't tell me until after he went back with his dad. She just told me on Facebook that my nephew just left her house. Forget the plan of going to her house to see my nephew. Next year, I'm no longer going to depend on her to see him. I'm just going to take it upon myself to get him at my house. She called me after I didn't reply to her message asking me if I was upset with her. Would you be upset? We have always had this agreement, but the last few times she said she forgot. I love my mom, but sometimes she gets me so ticked off.

I'd be pretty upset. Can you try talking to her? I would try to do it in a way that would get me what I wanted though, not just yell or anything.

I have tried to talk to her in the past, and she said she will try to do better. But she said I shouldn't be upset about it. Then she goes back to the same thing.
