Most of you know I'm in band class at my school. But there's this guy who sits next to me in band, that nobody likes. He's loud and obnoxious, and no one, not even adults or teachers, can control. I've prayed taht God would keep my temper in check around him, and keep me calm, but in the end, I always end up screaming at him and calling him bad things. I go home ashamed. I'm terrified of having to spend four years of high school band sitting next to him. Cuz when i sit next to him, i get so upset, i want to hurt myself, just so i can be free of him. Someone help me...

Has anyone in the class tried to be nice to him and to hold an actual conversation with him? I have found, that sometimes people that act out and are in general loud and obnoxious are craving attention that they don't receive elsewhere. If he becomes too much of a problem, can you ask your teacher if you could move to a different seat? My 13 year old sister is constantly loud and obnoxious :pinch: and I try to remove myself from the area when she starts acting like that. Hope this helps....

we have to sit in our instrument groups. we play the same instrument. and both want to switch to the SAME instrument! and i have tried. his ex girlfriend who is also in band tried! nothing works!
