Crazy Town

Right now outside, there's thunder, a bunch of barking dogs, and several sirens. WHAT ON EARTH?! Sometimes, Baltimore....idek... I probably shouldn't be surprised, though, since Baltimore is home to crime shows like The Wire. So I'm wondering. What is your town like? You don't *have* to say what town, but you can describe it.

Baltimore's home to my favourite crime drama of all time... Homocide: Life on the Street... I want to visit it sometime... But that will have to wait until I get my car back... Anyway, I've been held at gunpoint two places... (in middle school in Joplin, MO just to threaten me... And getting robbed here in Richmond... That time I ended up getting kicked in the ribs and face... Grrrr) I do have to say that Richmond is much better for the homeless than Joplin is... :P

You mean Homicide? Lol Homocide sounds mean :( I've never been robbed like that or anything. Though someone stole my wallet in middle school. I wasn't looking when it happened. I lost my Neopets keychain... It's weird...I hear about people getting mugged or jumped or shot left and right. But it's never happened to me before. Just on Sunday, there were six shootings. And on the fourth of July, one guy got stabbed in the neck and a little kid was shot in the inner thigh area. This was only at the harbor, during/after the fireworks. I guess I've been pretty lucky. And when I move to Bemidji for college, everything will be so much different. I think the first thing I noticed was the lack of sirens. A cop told me that the only crimes are barfights and theft from people being too trusting and leaving their cars unlocked. It's really peaceful.

I just moved to my town. So far as I can tell Gainesville's made up mainly of college kids and really friendly old people. Also flatness as far as the eye can see, thunderstorms, and the first time in my life I've had to deal with allergies.

I live in a small town in Minnesota, and it sounds about the opposite of Baltimore. There's nothing to do here other than loitering in one of the two gas stations we have, or there's always bowling... Otherwise, I have to drive 50 minutes to get to a mall, a movie theater, work/college, and just about anything really.

Bemidji just added a bowling alley and movie theater. They also have a hockey rink that doubles as a place for comedians and bands to do shows. And there seems to be plenty to do there, even though the "downtown" area looks more like a Main Street kind of deal.

Oh my gosh. WHAT IS GOING ON I DON'T EVEN? They keep filming commercials in the parking lot across the street from my house. I think this one is about some fruit drink or chocolate milk or something? I dunno. They must have finished because the set is an open one and they've set up booths with activities. There's someone playing basketball over there rather loudly. :P EDIT: AAAAAAAUUUUUUUGGGGHHHH. They're playing rap music EXTREMELY LOUDLY over there!!! I hate rap. :/ Literally this is a big all-day event with a DJ and a bunch of contests and street performers. IN A TINY PARKING LOT A FEW FEET AWAY. This is just the most annoying thing to happen all summer...and none of the residents had any warning...
