Are good things good because God said they are good or did God say they are good because they are good? If good things are good because God said so, then He could have said murder and other immoral things are good. This makes no sense. It takes away any kind of solid morallity to live by. Morallity is merely obidience to the desires of an authority of ultimate power. If God said things are good because they are good in of themselves, then goodness is a law that God is under. This also makes no sense. It is in God's very nature to be above everything. My solution is to equate Goodness and God. They are the same thing. Goodness is the ultimate power and authority. It is by nature perfect, unchanging, just, etc. What do you think of this? Agree? Disagree? Blasphemy? =)
