So yesterday, while I was laying on the couch trying not to cough up a lung, I got a phone call from the county utility provider. I applied for a job as a student helper. (12 bucks an hour and they work around your school schedule. WIN.) They said they had an opening for a student helper in a warehouse. And I kid you not, they asked me, "Do you have any experience driving a forklift or operating powertools?" 1. Do any 18 year olds have experience driving a forklift? O.o 2. I have minimal power tool experience. Thank you, 7th grade woodshop. 3. TEACH ME TO DRIVE A FORKLIFT! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: So. They willi call again later this week to schedule an interview. Fingers crossed! ^_^ Because driving a forklift is sexy. XD (Just kidding.)

I don't have forklift training, but I totally do have training in those cage lifts that they use to fix power lines or street lights. I had to learn to drive one up into a tree. That was fun. Also, sounds like a very physically involved job... most warehouses are. Beware of that, they'll have you working to the bone. $12 sounds nice, but you'll be demanding it for the work you'll be doing.

lucky! I've always wanted to learn how to drive one of those, don't ask me why...

Exactly, Kenneth. Could totally pick up a guy in one of those. :P And physical labor would be nice. Considering I have no upper body strength. It'd either give me incentive to work out, or just whip me into shape by itself.
