Hey! I need some serious help here and I am hoping that you all can give it to me! Thanks! Anyways, Homecoming is coming up on Oct. 6th at my school (usually it is at the end of October, but it got moved to an earlier date because there are less home football games at my school this year) and I am stuck on an issue related to it. My best guy friend from school has liked me as more than friends for at least a year or two now (I know that 'cause he told me so). I tried telling him over a year or so ago that I only like him as friends, and apparantly at the end of last school year I talked about going to Homecoming with him if I didn't have a date. Well, the thing is, I kinda want to go with friends instead of him (unless I get asked by another guy of course)because I don't want to give him the wrong impression. The wrong impression I would think is that if I went with him, it would make him seem like I like him as more than friends (whether we went as friends or dates) and since I will look nice in my dress, I didn't want to send the wrong messages. It's kinda hard to explain my position on this over the internet, but I feel that going with him would make more harm than good, but not going with him will make him feel really bad. What should I do about my friend and about Homecoming? HELP!!! EDIT=I took out a person's real name.
