Is that wrong? I havent done anything in a long time, but I find my self wanting it all of the time. I think i need help. Do you think God still loves me, or is he ashamed of me?

Mat 5:29-30 If your right eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body be thrown into hell. And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body go into hell. -- But seriously, what do you mean "is that wrong?" Obviously lusting after someone who is not your wife is wrong. Committing adultery is wrong. Sure we all have temptation: "sin is crouching at the door. Its desire is for you, but you must rule over it." (Gen 4:7) Does God still love you? Romans 8

God created us as sexual creatures. (Most) guys have hormones dictating to them a desire for sex. There is nothing wrong with it, and it's healthy. The problem arises with what we do with that desire. Do we lust? Do we watch porn and masturbate? Do we have sex premaritally? Nonsense. :) We desire to have sex with our wife (if God should be so merciful :p) and pray for God to help us to avoid temptation in the meantime.

Many guys have struggled with this. I think the key we need to remember is that we are unable to defeat this sin on our own. We need Gods help if we want to win over temptation. And to think that we can defeat it on our own is a pride filled statement. We must turn to God to win! Ask him and I know he will help if you truly want it. And as to wondering if He still loves you--of course he does! Just remember King David in the old testament- he committed adultery and murder and God still called him a "man after His own heart"!! Just trust in the Lord and He will help!

I will briefly address the sex issue too though. The fact that you say that you are 18, and that you haven't "done anything in a long time," makes me want to ask... What is it that you haven't done in a long time? Sex or masturbation? The part of wanting it all the time is pretty normal... Others are right.. You are a typical male human. Don't let those urges turn to lust, and then sin. Now on to the real issue.
Do you think God still loves me, or is he ashamed of me?
That is the wasiest question to answer. Yes He does still love you, and no He is not ashamed of you. God doesn't quit loving us because we mess up. God doesn't reject us because we act upon on fleshly desires. God doesn't quit loving us even when we reject Him completely. God might be hurt by choices we make, but He never stops loving us. There is a book by a man name Floyd McClung, The Father Heart of God. You should find a copy and read it. It is good. It does a great job of depicting the heart of God like that of a "perfect Father." I could give you example after example of things that men did in Scripture that were pretty bad, but God never stopped loving them. King David was pretty messed up with some of the stuff he did. He even murdered a man because David had an affair with the man's wife, and she got pregnent. King David had him killed and then took his wife as his own. God still lioved David. David did a lto of unrighteous things, and yet he repented and found favor in God's eyes. Don't ever kid yourself that you can sin your way out of His love for you. God is saddened and hurt by our actions, His love endures forever! B) -Matt
