If you may, please define these feelings of love... Why have you been on and off for over a year?...

My dear, if it is "off and on" then it will never be fully "on." That is spoken from experience. If you have to keep breaking up for one reason or another, then you aren't ready to give commitment to dating, and especially not to a significant other. Now, I know you will hate to hear this and probably ignore it, but this really is the best thing to do: Let him go. There will be more guys who are able to give you full time and attention, and even though you've been with someone for a long time doesn't mean that they are specifically the one. I was in a relationship like this with a guy that i was seriously convinced i was going to marry. I had a diamond ring from him and everything. However, I found out just how immature I really was in the dating and relationship world, and just how much he was as well (even worse off than me!) And we ended it after almost 2 years. The only time you should have to take a break from your loved one should be if it's something like my parents did way back when: They were first-loves. They didn't know what love was, or if they were really "in" it. So, they took a break from dating just to see if it was really true, and it was, and they got back together soon after. That was something to bennifit the relationship, not just "end" it then get back together. You know what I'm saying ?

The reason we have been off and on is because we always break up for stupid reasons...... I hate that we break up and i am the one that wants to make it work, so i love him and he loves me we already know that, but it just sucks that we break up over dumb mess !

I am ready for it to be fully on, but it just hard the we break up for dumb mess! I keep telling him but its hard to get through a guys head!
