So I'm getting my hair cut in a few weeks time but I don't really know what I want, all I know is I want it above my shoulders. So if you have any ideas post pics k? My hair is very thick and a frizzy kind of curly. Actually I'll post a picture in a moment :)

Here we go: That was on a day when my hair was reasonably straight and tame because of the product I'd put in.

Get layers with side bangs. I think it'd be cute. That's it, but ignore her face. It ruins the picture. *has epiphany* OH! OH! OH! DO THIS!!!

Her eye make up is weird! I like it apart from I don't want to have to straighten my hair everyday. People say I have nice curls when I actually leave my hair out for more than 2 seconds. Wow... :pinch:

you could do the side-swept bang with hair just below the shoulders like Vera Jordanova or Alison Sweeney :)

OOOH! I want the rainbow hair, ninja!!! It's awesome! I would do just above the shoulder, whatever length you want, and I think full bangs would look really cute on you. Full bangs might need a little work to deal with though. And also maybe just a little bit of layers, not huge layers.

I agree that the first picture wouldn't work. Generally speaking, layers don't work well with curly/frizzy hair. Layers tend to add volume and, generally speaking, that's something that curly/frizzy hair has naturally. You can get long layers, that way it'd give some texture to the hair, but the layers would be long enough to weigh down the hair (and therefore minimizing frizz). My suggestion: invest in some Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum. It's reasonably priced... meaning it's a little expensive (think 15 -- 20 American dollars for 150 mL), but you only use a tiny bit and work it through your hair, so it lasts a long time. I'm serious, that stuff is great. My hair is also kinda frizzy naturally, but when I use that stuff in my hair and I blow dry it completely dry (I have a short A-line bob), my hair turns out really nice and straight and smooth without having to use a flat iron. Both of these hairstyles use long layers to create a well-defined shape, but at the same time, they aren't over styled and can be made to suit almost any hair style (I wouldn't recommend it for hair that's SUPER curly). These hairstyles could also be very versatile. You could do straight for a casual, yet polished look, or, to dress it up a bit, you could use a curling iron to create cute ringlets. Plus, if you don't have much time in the morning, it'd be really easy to flip your head and blow dry (while using one hand to "mess up" the hair) to create an intentional messy look that'd take only a few minutes. Both of these hair styles could be pulled into a short pony or pig tails also, so that's a plus. Wow. *eyeroll* I sound like a hair dresser. Sorry. lol. I shall keep quiet now...
