Hmm... that's tough, chicka. We all make mistakes, and unfortunately, like sounds like one. There's nothing I can tell you to do that will be able to take that back. Words are weird like that. I have one question for you, though. You know you don't want to marry him, so why date him? The only possibility for you two in the future, then, is a break up. I'm a strong believer in dating with a purpose (namely with the goal of finding out if it's God's will for you to get married). Since you already have that ruled out, why cause yourself more pain? I'm sorry if that seems harsh, but I feel like someone has to say it.

Then I would recommend not dating and just having good girl and guy friends, but you'll hear different things from lots of people, including people in these forums. That's just my opinion.

I completely agree with strata. There's only two outcomes to dating: breakup or marriage. There are, however, a lot of bad consequences to dating: a broken heart, pre-marital sex or even just going "too far". Not to mention you can lose a great guy friend because the two of you dated and then broke-up. Don't try to grow up too fast. You've got at least 7 years of school ahead of you and you need to enjoy that time in your life. Have guy friends along with your girl friends but don't have the mindset that you have to have a bf.
