My best friend and I met a at kids camp nearly 6 years ago and since then we were pretty much inseparable (though she lives 2 hours away). At the start of this year we started to grow apart because God was at a different level of importance in our lives. Not so long ago I got a text form her asking for prayer, she had a chest infection. This hit me rather hard because we hadn't really talked since last holidays (bout 10 weeks). I ended up writting her a letter, it was one of the hardest I've ever had to write, I felt like such a crud friend and I still only managed a quater of a page. Here is her reply: [i]Hey Kezia, how are you? I'm pretty good thanks. My chest is ok now. Its always going to be damaged though. They think it was caused from my first infection but yip its fine now. Camp was pretty good but its just not the same. I don't know whether its me having changed or camp changing as well. Thats good that you enjoyed it [Camp David] and made heaps of good friends. [b]To be honest I never thought that you would write to me again. I've tried to write countless letters but I've never sent them, they just seem so superficial. You don't need to be asking for my forgiveness, it should be me asking for yours. So please forgive me. My life has been going really well, except for my walk with christ, which kind of makes things just I don't know. I realised this at camp but since I've got home its been mixed emotions for me. I'm trying to live right by Christ but I keep stuffing up. I can't get it right.[/b] My 18th is coming up and everyone except for a few friends don't see why 'm not having a huge party but I don't want to go out and get trashed. I'm thinking of just having movies at my house and a few drinks if you want to come. I think Scott and Logan might be coming down too. I'm sorry for not talking or writting before this. [b]I hope you can forgive me.[/b] Love Brittany.[/i] What I'm trying to say girls is don't let your friendships get to this point, sort them out while you still have a chance to save them. Don't leave things unsaid. Sometimes you have to put your pride aside make the first move. To me, she didn't even have to ask for forgiveness, I'd forgive her anyday without giving it a second thought. God sent Jesus to die for our sins, we are sinners just like everyone else, it's only by His grace that we are forgiven. If your even the slightest bit annoyed with a friend, sort it out. Pray for them. Show them Christ's love and forgiveness. (I hope this all made sence)
