Hey everyone! I just had a question to ask everyone. What do you all think about long distance relationships and how far away would someone have to live to consider the relationship as long distance? I don't have a boyfriend but I was just wondering what you all think about long distance relationships. Thanks!

well, personally, ive been through a long distance relationship (2 hours away) and i dont think its an amazingly great idea.... unless of course you can handle it and if you are really in love with this person..... if you believe that you can handle it then i think its ok..... with a lot of long distance relationships it seems like you cant really be there for the person..... my relationship (my only one) was long distance as i said and she cut herself constantly.... i made her promise three times to stop but she would still continue to do so, so, i broke up with her because i felt like i wasnt really there for her and i was distracting her from what she needed to do to help herself..... of course, most situations arent that extreme.... my parents were 6 hours apart and they got married obviously, so, some work... but for the most part, they dont work very well and they take a lot of commitment... more so than most.... if you know you can handle it, then go for it... if you dont really know... then i say you probably should avoid it

Thanks for your advice! I've never had a boyfriend before, so I don't really know how I would react if I had a long distance relationship or not. I do understand your logic though (I am also sorry about that girl) and I will be sure to follow your advice! Thanks!

you dont have to be sorry about it. I feel like I made the right decision and something that would help her. I haven't been in touch with her in a while, but Im gonna see her at my district camp next week, so, I'll see how she's doing then. I do think I made the right decision for the both of us though
