Mixed feelings...

So, since early middle school it had always been my dream to make into the high school all state band. No one at my school had ever done it, and I wanted badly to get in. I auditioned twice for all state band, spending months preparing for my audition. Both times, I didn't get in, and was devasted. This morning, I get on facebook and find out one of my bandmates who's still in high school got accepted into all state band... And I just... I'm supposed to be happy for her, but I can't help the jealousy... :/

Everyone has a human nature, what's called "the flesh". it's also called the sin nature. Yes, we're saved (protected, delivered, etc); but we are going to still sin due to this nature. We won't stop sinning (albeit wanting to stop) until we reach heaven one day. Even Paul stumbled lot on earth, even with his powerful nature. Read Romans 7. So stop worrying about being jealous, envious ! ! ! ;)
