My Visit To The Doctor Yesterday...

... was interesting. I walk in and she starts writing down my symptoms and tested me for strep throat. She comes back and starts talking to me. She was like "Your strep test came back negative. We were kind of worried that you might have H1N1 (swine flu)..." *I start freaking out* "... but I really don't think that could be a possibility due to your lack of fever." She then proceded to do various weird things to me, then said "Last time you were in, we suspected mono, but could not test for it because it was too early for it to show up in your bloodstream. You are still showing signs of mono. I am going to test you. If you have mono, you and I are going to have to have a little talk. If it isn't mono, I'd say that it's just a really bad sinus infection." The nurse came in a few minutes later and pricked my finger. I got sick and dizzy at the sight of my own blood and had to look away. She drained blood from me until my veins nearly ran dry... it seemed that way, anyway. The doctor came back and said that my mono test came back negative. She started pressing my face and thumping my head, asking me if it hurt each time. I just wanted to say, "Duhr! You're hitting me on the forehead and asking me if it hurts. No, of course not. I do that all the time!!" *eyeroll* Anyway, so she said that I have a "raging sinus infection". I have to take giant nasty pills twice a day for ten days. Hopefully I'll get better eventually. I'm just glad they changed their minds and decided I didn't have mono. *does a happy dance* In other news, I came home and went to bed at 7:30 PM. That would be why I wasn't in chat last night. I slept until 12:30 PM today. (hooray for 17 hours of sleep!!) Mom says that my new bedime is 10 PM because I start band camp next week and I "need to get back on schedule", so no more staying up till 1 AM chatting. :(
