never had a Boyfriend?

Hey girls i just though i'd share a few thoughts. Before i get started i just want to say i, never in my 18 years of living, have had a boyfriend. Just so ya'll wont think, "she doesnt know what it's like to be single." So let me continue. I have come to realize that the so call "need" for a boyfriend is totally unnecessary and it's something the secular world encourages for whatever silly reason they have. Being daughters of the KING, we should know that our "special person" is out there being kept by the Hand of God. Therefore, when the time is right our Heavenly Father will bring him to us. There is no, absoluty no need for us, ladies to try to take God's place and try to find our soul mate on our own. If we hop from bf to bf only heaven knows what kind of danger we can get into. I'd like to give an example of one girl that i knew, she was my BESTEST friend ever....until she found herself a bf. She changed completly and our relationship grew weeker and weeker as she continued to see this person. There came a point that i hardly even saw. Seeing her change i realized that having a bf take your focus off the things of God ur family and friends. I though our relationship could fathom anything but i was wrong. After a couple of months of her being with this guy, he left her. This being her first relationship, tore her apart from end to end. Being her closest friend, she came to me in all her grief. But things were no longer the same. Even though we tried to talk and settle our differences things were and never will be the same. Dont get me wrong i still love her to death and pray for her every day ,but my point in saying this is that we must not go after a bf as if there will never be any more on the earth. Not only do you hurt the people around you but you yourself can be scared for life just because you wanted a moment of pleasure. so, remember your future is in the Hands of THE ALMIGHTY GOD!!! And if He has someone for you He'll bring him along in the right time. SISTAS, can i hear an AMEN!!! ;) To end, while your single and you dont have the responsibility of a man or a family, seek God with all your heart and desire Him more than anything or anyone in the world. If you really thinkabout it, He's the only one who can fill us with the love and care that we need. So sisters be encouraged and dont worry if all your friends have a bf, remember you will always have a "SPECIAL SOMEONE" in Jesus Christ. He will always be there for you as He has been there and still is there for me as my Father, Husband, King and so much more. If anyone has anything to say or ask please feel free. love, Sharon

I'm 19 years old and have never had a boyfriend. I use to really want, just to have someone that would listen to me and someone I could share my passion for God with. The only guy I will ever consider dating is the one God has already planned out for me, and that's my future spouse (God willing of course). I still want to be married someday, but if I never do then I'm okay with that. As long as I have my Jesus, I'm satisfied. If we just date to date, then we can miss out on getting to know God better, which is way better. Also, I've learned what I want in guy just through crushes or guy friends that I have, or through what God has shown me. I don't need to date to have the experience. Thanks for posting this thread. Good stuff.

I am 16 and I have never had a boyfriend before. I plan to wait for a good, dedicated Christian guy like Heart_sings_praiz_4_him2 was describing. If a guy like that comes into my life, then he would probabaly be from God. By the way, I read Every Young Women's Battle, EquineMaid and it was good! I will have to read the other book too. Thanks for the post, lvnhim (the post really helped me)! I will also pray for your friend, Witness_Girl!

Hey Sistas! I would just like to thank ya'll for the GOOD STUFF here! You ladies have been a HUGE encouragement just for writing!!!! Let me tell ya I was feeling really really lonely and depressed all week, but fellowshipping with my familiy in Christ, ya'll deserve a hug!! I, too am 19 and have never had a bf. Sometimes I thougt I must be too ugly or not smart enough etc. etc. but my Heavenly Father has taught me that these are just big lies from the devil trying to push girls into something that isnt right for them yet. God has that perfect special some one out there, we just need to be patient and let God choose for us. That way we can get on with our lives any way and not have to worry about it, untill He says it's time. Untill then, we can be serving Him w/o any distractions!! Please know that your all in my Prayers this day, and I Pray for all of us for the wisdom and the obedience to carry out the will of the Father. with love, Kristie

Yes well remember this though, God may r may not have a husband in store for you, and if you walk with him he will show you if you should enter a relationship or not. I was single for 18.4 yrs of my own life, then a wonderful person came and we have enered a so called dating relationship, however we are trying to seek God first in all we do. I pray that you will all find what God wants you to do.:)
