my dad died when i was 2 in a car crash,(involving a drunk driver) whenever i see people with there dad's I want to cry. (even though I have an awesome step dad) My friend's mom died last year, and she's not at all upset. What am I missing??? Am I a crazy sap, or is she tough as nails, or are we both mad???

you being upset is only natural. personally, i think you're upset mostly because you really never got the chance to meet your dad, which is totally understandable. just remember that he is in a better place now. (i know that you have heard that a MILLION times, but it's true!) please write back soon if you want to talk more.

Wow... I think that your friend is just reaction differently to her mother's death than you do to your father's. Some people just hold all ot the hurt, anger, and sadness in them; which is not good for them. Or maybe she is at peace that her mom is in heaven... I suggest that you pray for her and ask that God just guid her and protect her and her heart.

I'm glad she knows that her mom is a christian. No one ever will tell me. I bet there hiding it from me. So I don't get upset.
