im like so tired of not fitting in with the idea of popular or watever,its so annoying!!!!!!! i mean if i was just l wanted to be just like some else id be a freak! Sometimes i feel like i need that shirt cause whats her name has it or like if u check out my pics youll see my most bratty bff and shes like ttly giving in to pear pressure. When sees with the older girls shes older and snooty and gosipy and whens shes with the younger girls shes all like oh lets play and hand out!!!! and when i dont wear the right thing for her, she gives me this like dirty im more superior look, i get mad cause my family cant afford the newest thing so what am i suppose to do? what do you guys think!!!!!!!!!!!:huh:

you know what i say girl? be your self! the only opinion you should worry about is Gods! who cares about clothes, they dont matter. hair style? nup dont matter! the only thing that really matters is what God thinks of you. your so special to him! oh n your friend doesnt sound like they are a very good friend

I used to feel the same way! I remember in middle school I was determined to be popular, but in the end, I gave up. Here's why. First, it says in 1 Peter 2 that "you were rejected by men, but chosen and valuable to God," In other words, you may not feel like the world loves you, but guess what? You are chosen and valuable to God! He was willing to lay down His life just so He could be with you forever. Also, if you look at the Bible, God rarely used the "popular" people for His glory. He used Moses, who was a sheep herder and a murderer for crying out loud, to deliver the Jews from slavery. This guy was incredibly shy, too. Then, He used David, a lonely shepherd boy who his bros claimed would never amount to anything to kill a giant and be the next king of Israel. My point is, these people are losers! Yet God likes to use losers like me for His glory. God uses the weak to be the strong ones.

What's wrong with being a freak? I find it quite enjoyable.

Technically, I think popular just means "well-known". For instance, I'm popular (in no way do I mean for that to sound braggy or anything to that extent), but I don't go around acting snotty or anything. Isn't that stereotypical? Not all popular people are mean. But most people think of the popular crowd as mean and snotty. Popular just means well-known. A lot of people on this site are popular, but are very sweet people. It's just most people take it to the next level. I hope that makes sense...

It did. I'm a very popular person... for people that are only 3 feet tall.

It is really over-rated. I mean, it is hard to be popular. You feel like people hold you on a pedestal and like at any minute, you could fall off and people would hate you. It is way too much pressure.
