Hey guys, just so you know, I'm dropping off the face of the earth for a while. My internet has gone kaboom, and i'm on a company computer right now to tell you this, and check for responses once in a while. If anyone could help me solve this problem, I'd love you forever. Basically, my personal computer wont connect to browsers. It says i'm connected to full internet service, and I can get on yahoo chat, skype, itunes store, and the likes of those, but it won't work at all if I try to click IE or firefox, which are my only two browsers. It acts like I have no connection at all when I attempt to log onto those. What I have tried: restart diagnostics on internet problems system restore Waiting for a week... still nothing Nothing worked. Still the same problem. Any advice?

Have you reset your router? Turn it off, unplug it, and leave it for a few minutes, then turn it back on. I was having the same issues this morning and that fixed it for me.

It's not the router. Other people in the house are using the exact same one, with no problems at all. Update: Jacob and I discovered that if I run on safe mode with networking, it works. Anything else, still nothing.

My guess is something has messed with your settings and configured your browser to block connections (often malware will do this, redirecting all traffic to a static page claiming you have a virus and then try to scam you so that you buy their "software" [with your credit card info] to remove it)...do you see any signs of having a program on your computer that you didn't install? Once upon a time I learned how to fix that but I've since forgotten. xD

Nope. I've gone through a lot of things, even restoring the settings on my computer. Still nothing. Also, new interesting update: On yahoo messenger, they have a "web search" on the messenger base. If i type a website into that, it opens it up automatically in firefox- no problems. But I can't open up a new firefox/IE page, I can only work in/add tabs into this one. I mean, it works, but it's annoying as heck.
