Hey guys, I want to get a Promise Ring, you know to stay a virgin until marrige. But the problem is my mom thinks I'm too young. Like I shouldn't be even thinking about that right now. So what what would be a good age to start thinking about that? Love you all- Paapaa

So... she says you're old enough to date, but not think about saving yourself on these dates? 0.o I worked at a Christian bookstore for a few years, and the age that most girls came in to get the promise rings was around 13 years old. We had very few 16 or older than that lol. A few, but that's because their parents forced them to. but yeah, talk to her why you feel that the age of dating is the right age to be considering all this too.

But she said next year would be great. After I'm 14

ok well i am 12 about to turn 13 and i already have a promise ring my mom got it for me on my 11th birthday she thinks its great and she actually wanted to get it for me alot sooner. if you have started you are able to concieve a child.i dont think it is to early at all tell your mom its a great thing to promise to god and to yourself

Well if you have made that promise to God in your heart then thats the main thing, a ring is just a symbol. Is your mum worried that you are going to loose it?

It isn't a promise ring but I got a ring for my 18th from my mum and it cost 55 NZ$ (which is 30 US$), is that about how much y'all would pay? Its pretty good over here considering how nice the ring is. We actually ended up getting 2 for the price of one so I also got a pretty silver one with a blue gem in it.

it really depends. Some girls have ones with diamond in them, which of course would cost quite a bit. others (like self) prefer just a silver/gold band which would be cheaper.

i got one when i was 12 it turns my finger green but i don't care I'm getting another for Christmas
