So...interesting literary discussion, anyone?

Much as I dislike Alice in Wonderland, I'll be spending a lot of time with this book in the next week. My English exam has been changed to a take-home exam; which pretty much means I have to write two 1,000 word essays in the next few days as well as cramming for my History exam, as well as working (if/when the library opens which won't be before Monday at the earliest), as well as catching up on ALL OF THE DR WHO. Yep. Busy, busy me. Fact is though, I don't want to do any of that (except the Dr Who part, I'm pretty pleased with that), and I'm enlisting you all to help me procrastinate, I mean cogitate. So. One of my essays is on what, in my opinion, Alice in Wonderland is about. I'm actually kind of intrigued by this question and I think it could be a lot of fun to throw around a few ideas. Any ideas? Have you ever even read Alice in Wonderland? Did you love it? Hate it? Not care about it at all? And what do you think the story is really about?
