Has anyone here read "the Great Gatsby" by F. Scott Fitzgerald? I just started reading that for my English class and am on chapter 3. I find it somewhat confusing and it's not my most favorite book ever (I liked "Of Mice and Men" by John Steinbeck better). What do you all think about it?

Ok, I am on about chapter 8 now and it is so much better! My english class is supposed to see the movie sometime soon, and I hope it's the original one, because I like Robert Redford (he was in "the Horse Whisperer" and I love that movie!)! I couldn't believe that Myrtle got killed though.... I thought the details of her death were kinda disgusting...

I saw most of the Great Gatsby movie (the one with Robert Redford in it) today, and it was ok, but slightly boring. I think the movie was slightly better, but who knows, 'cause I haven't seen the whole movie yet.
