You know when someone asks you to pray for them, for something small like a test, or big, like a major illness...do you? And whats more, why not pray right then?? Prayer has honestly changed my life...I gathered my friends together after church, and we held hands and prayed. we continued after church every week...it gave us a chance to realize, firstly, we have like minded Christians that care about us...and secondly, we arent just the teens that sit in the back and scribble funny pictures on our bullitons every sunday...we are Christians...we desire to know Christ more fully each day we're alive. Though some beginning in faith, and some believers sense young ages...we are the same. So, this isn't rhetorical, I want to know if Gods opening doors in your life, through prayer...what Hes doing! And do you agree or think that prayer is best done with/without friends, do you think it'll make your "christian" friends uncomfortable? Or you?

I am not big on group prayer 'cause it is slightly uncomfortable for me to pray out loud in a group, but I am by no means against it and I think it's a good idea to pray in a group, weither it's Christian friends or Christian people you know from school. Last September, there was a prayer circle around the flag pole at my high school, and I joined it (I did pray outloud) and it was AMAZING! Just to see some people in the circle who I wouldn't have guessed in a million years were Christian and knowing that I am not alone in my faith at school (I go to a secular high school) was really comforting! The group even broke out in song more than once! I do admit that I'm guilty of saying I will pray for people, then not praying for them. If you say you'll pray for someone, then do it or else don't commit to it at all! If you commit to it, then that person is counting on you to pray, and your prayer could totally make a difference! We are called to pray as Christians, so pray, pray, pray! horsechic1990

yeah, believe me, it took me a good three weeks before I got up the gull to recommend we say a prayer, and it took another few weeks before I wasn't the only one saying anything!! But you know, I'll never regret it. God asks us to do what we dont want to believe he would. Kind of like this guy who stopped drinking, then two years later was asked to have a drink with some guys that helped him get his broken down car working again, and God urged him to do it, even though he< wasn't comfortable doing it. So, speaking out loud and proclaiming your faith isn't easy, but God never told us "do what you feel ok doing." But I totally hear you, its a challange for sure! Its really awesome how God spoke to you through praying with that group, very cool :)
