Well, the implication is that what we understand about physics is wrong and thus the limits on going the speed of light aren't actually real. It may be possible to go faster than the speed of light, we just aren't aware of how it's done yet. But in theory, time travel is still possible anyway.

A few months back, physicists in Switzerland I think found particles that were like nine nanoseconds faster than light particles. It kind of disproves half of Einstein's work on relativity. I'll start learning about all that stuff in April and May when my physics class shifts from thermodynamics and optics to modern physics and quantum mechanics
