http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hhPdH3wE0_Y - "UC Davis Pepper Spray - What Really Happened" Some buddies of mine on Facebook just had this 50comment discussion with this guy who said the police used excessive force. So...is this right? Is there a time to use pepper spray on nonviolent yet uncompromising resistance? Which is better, a little pepper spray or having the cops filmed tearing each person from the road, pinning him/her down one by one and then cuffing him/her?

I'm still in favor of the students. Right to peaceful protest. They were doing nothing wrong in the beginning by being there peacefully protesting.

Silly Serf, pepper spray is but a food item. Megyn Kelly said so. Dante

Dante: I can't imagine it's much worse than CS gas. And CS gas really isn't bad at all. Brandon: care to suggest an alternative? You think the 'peaceful protesters' would let them *carry* the arrested individuals over their bodies and out of the area?

You know what it is? Its politics and laziness coming into police action. Hmm, I can't think of a way to get these people who are within their rights of free speech and peaceful assemble to stop promoting the message our politicians don't like. Let's use increasingly exaggerated, inappropriate and violent tactics on them! Either they'll stop or they'll defend themselves and then we'll have an excuse to further escalate our own tactics. Win win!

Police=/= politicians. Also, you think the school does not have the right to prevent people from sleeping on the school grounds outside of dormitories?
