I definitely see where you're comin from man. Tim's general point of being transparent and showing that people do mess up is good, but I don't agree with his idea that basically seems to say -because we mess up, there's no point in trying not to.- This is especially sad considering he is in a pretty popular band and may be one of the only Christians many non-Christian kids hear from. Sure we mess up, and that's ok, BUT after we mess up, we need to learn from that and try to fix it. And that is where Jesus comes in. Because He died for us, our mistakes are forgiven and He can help us fix them.

Ok yes we're messed up and there are alot of problems in the church but we shouldn't be comfortable with that just because that's the way it is. Faking perfection is wrong but trying for it isn't, even though we'll never achieve it on our own. If Christ is in us, if that perfection exists somewhere in us, then we shouldn't be comfortable with the imperfection-around and in us. We are not of this world after all. Yes we should love those in it, but that doesn't mean loving it. Yeah, I'm little upset because like theLoser said they area one of the few Christian bands non-Christians listen to. They sound kind of afraid of their Christian base and will likely have it change a bit.
