This morning, I got up and Mom said, "So, today, we're going to go out to eat, get new phones, and go see a movie. You need to pick out a movie." I was all excited because we haven't done anything as a family in a while, and I've needed a new phone for a while since mine has decided to die three times daily and reset itself during every phone call I make. So, we left the house and went to eat. After we ate, we went to the AT&T store. Then we went to about ten other AT&T stores. After we left, we went to the book store, then we came home. I'm STILL feeling extremely sick. I'm sore all over and my throat's bothering me, etc. So, on our way home, I was really quiet. After we got home, I went to my room and proceded to be extremely quiet because I'm just not feeling well. Mom came into my room and said "Give me your phone." I gave it to her and she said that I couldn't have it back until some time next week. When I asked why, she said that my behavior was "unacceptable" and that I needed to "stop acting like a little goody-two-shoes princess and get over it." When I asked what I was "getting over", she said that I was sulking because I didn't get my way and I didn't get a new phone. Honestly, as bad as I feel, I could care less. I started to explain to her that I was acting that way because I felt bad. She stopped me mid-sentence and said "No. I don't want to hear your excuses. I'm taking your phone and you're not getting a new one for a while." *sigh* Fabulous. I am being punished for being sick. Excuse me... I can't help the fact that I've got mono. I love my mother, but I seriously just want to smack her sometimes.

Really really really really really sorry for you Kayla!! :hug: That is awful! Makes me want to smack somebody just reading it. Somebody other than you of course.

Nah. I'm in the recovery phase of mono. I caught it about three weeks ago. I still feel a bit ill though.
