With all your heart and soul. You should read "The 4 loves" by CS Lewis.

Christ said that the greatest commandment is to love him (God) with all your heart, body, and soul. we must commit ourselves to Him and worship Him and praise Him- these are signs of our love.

The Bible says: 30And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. 31And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. - Mark 12:30-31 you can tell when you really love God when you joy in him and when youwant to worship and talk to him.

Obedience to his word is loving God. that just about covers everything :)
