Yeah, I wrote a poem. I was feeling all emo a couple days ago and I was like "Ahh, I gotta write a poem!" So, uh, here you go... (Oh yeah, if blood freaks you out, don't read this. And this does NOT imply that suicide is an answer. NEVER DO THAT!) Blood Blood Blood A sea of blood Flowing out of my now numbing wrist It trickles down my arm Like a stream of dark red water My vision blurs while tears run down my face This is the site I’ve seen for months Blood and more blood Like the razor that sits on my nightstand It screams to me “Cut” it, says. “Cut”. Maybe I shouldn’t have listened to it. My friends are now afraid of me. Their parents think I’m a creep All because of this tiny razor That talks to me when I sleep. I brush away my thoughts As more tears fall from my eyes I look at my wrist Completely covered in fresh blood I watch the blood as it runs off my arm And stains the bed sheets I begin to cut more Thinking about how no one will care My mother threw a fit when she found out about the cutting “This will kill our reputation!” My dad would say when he picked me from school. Don’t they love me anymore? I start to get dizzy And lie down on my bed I watch my bleeding arm And soon the sight goes blank I’m done for

i thought the poem was great from a poets view. however i am not real big on poems about cutting yourself. i mean i just don't understand how people get so down that they take it out on themselves. it is really sad that this is what our generation has come to. kids do not realize that this could actually kill them and not just make them feel better for a while. so as a child of christ i think we should reach out to the kids who do this and not provoke it by writing poems about. i am sorry if this offends you it was not supposed to. i hope you understand what i am trying to say though. the poem was honestly really good and very descriptive. i just feel that it would have been better if writen about something less depressing.

I wrote that one when I was thinking about when I used to cut. I wrote what I felt like during that time. Alot of that stuff reflects my real life. 'Cept the dying part, because I'm still here. I get what you mean though, and I mostly agree.
