It depends what you watch, most of the Anime shown in America is directed towards kids, like Pokemon, Dragonball, Naruto, and Yu-Gi-Oh. (No idea how to spell those) But there is Anime out geared for an older audience. They have a very different style to them, not just in the animation but the story telling, I think thats why some people are attracted to it. Except the fan-girls they just think its cute.

And I agree. It is art. I only watch it when someone else is watching it, lol... Now I ask you: Why does anyone like anything they like? :)
