To all you guys out there, do you like it when girls wear make up? See, almost every girl at my school wears make up except for me. Most of the time, they go overboard with it, and I don't even like wearing make up. What do you think?

I agree with sillycharis, as long as you don't overdo your makeup, I think it's fine for girls to wear it. I'm a girl, and I wear makeup just about every day, but I try not to overdo it too much, 'cause then I know it wouldn't look good on me. I hate it when girls wear oober thick black eyeliner that's like 2 inches thick or something, 'cause it looks really bad (no offense to any girl who wears eyeliner like that)! It also bugs me when I go into the bathroom at school and there are girls in there who already have too much makeup on and are putting more on! Keep it natural looking if your gonna wear makeup girls!

Something light and low maintenance isn't bad, like charis said, special occassions. If you don't usually wear makeup, and you're doing something with some guy you like, then he might appreciate that you're trying to look extra pretty for him. But then, you could be setting yourself up, too.. Guys are pigs, and he might not notice anyway. It is what's inside that's more important to "good guys." If you want to look extra pretty, find your inner joy; a reason to smile. Happy people are more attractive(assuming it's real). Listen to Jim. He seems to know more about makeup and clothes than any straight man I know... (Hey, wait a minute....) j/k, Jim! :)

haha lol... ummm Personally well, i dont care either way... cause in my mind i like girls and friends for who they are and not how they do their make up... but i cant stand it when you can tell how much makeup they are wearing from 30 feet away... that bugs me... ummm... if you have a guy who only loves you for your body etc... then wear it... but i think thats shallow. idk i dont mind a lil... i dont even mind most of the emo stuff or whatever but i hate it when they use too much regular make up... it bugs me...

Even though I'm a girl, it still bugs me when girls wear a ton of regular makeup too! Doesn't look good at all...

Personally I think it's up to the girl (I am a girl) I wear makeup almost every single day but nothing too crazy. I can't stand it when girls wear their eyeliner SO thick that their eyes look likes those of a racoons. (No offense to anyone though...just saying) I wear a little bit and mostly just coverup. I think if a guy only likes you for what you look like than he is EXTREAMLY shallow and very low. (Again...no offense) and I think you should go out with someone like that. Thats what I think....

It's not so much about whether or not guys like it when girls wear makeup, as some guys will and some guys will not. It's more important how you feel about wearing it and your motivation for wearing it. Ideally, make-up is worn to enhance your features and "bring out" your own unique beauty. Most people care how they look, and some will do it through clothing, hair style, hair color or makeup. Being clean, dressing nicely and having our hair done, make us all "feel" better and more confident throughout the day. Makeup can hide facial flaws, bring out the color of your eyes and brighten up your face up. But again as I mentioned, motive is a key factor. Is is possible to wear makeup for the wrong reasons? Absolutely. It can be worn to "intentionally" attract a guy, or even to create a certain image about yourself. And, ufortunately, impressions are made everyday about people based on their appearance. If you're going to choose to wear makeup, I would suggest doing a little research on the art and technique of applying makeup. Hope this helps.
