Eating Gods animals!

Do you think its OK to eat god’s animals? Are they not individuals like you, or me? In the Adam and Eve story (the perfect world) “And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.” Gen. 1:29-30 The plants are for food and not animals. The fact is why would god want us to inflict pain on others (human or non-human) What’s your views?

I believe there is absolutely nothing wrong with eating animals. The most clear scripture I can think of to support this is Acts 10:9-15 9 About noon the following day as they were on their journey and approaching the city, Peter went up on the roof to pray. 10 He became hungry and wanted something to eat, and while the meal was being prepared, he fell into a trance. 11 He saw heaven opened and something like a large sheet being let down to earth by its four corners. 12 It contained all kinds of four-footed animals, as well as reptiles of the earth and birds of the air. 13 Then a voice told him, "Get up, Peter. Kill and eat." 14 "Surely not, Lord!" Peter replied. "I have never eaten anything impure or unclean." 15 The voice spoke to him a second time, "Do not call anything impure that God has made clean." clearly, God ordered Peter to kill and eat, so He couldn't have a problem with it. The thing to remember is that we are under a new and better covenant, and though it is important to acknowledge and learn from the old covenant, when Christ ushered in the New Covenant, He implimented with it a new set of standards to live by. I believe one reason for this is to break down the walls of religion, and to open up the doors of relationship and fellowship with God. He wants us to talk to Him, and recognize that He has not made evil or unclean things, but and that no matter what we eat, it passes through us, so it will not make us unclean, thereby not breaking fellowship with Him. I believe that is why Paul said in 1 Corinthians 10:31, "Whatever you eat, whatever you drink, whatever you do, do all to the glory of God."

It says that there're 34 replys to this topic on my computer but only two of them seem to be showing up. So i hope i'm not repeating what anyone has said. 1 corinthians 10:25-26 Eat anthing sold in the meat market without raising questions of conscience, for the earth is the Lrods and eerything in it. I can't seem to find the passages but there are a lot more that deal with eating meat. I don't think there's anything wrong with eating meat...there's a passage where it talks about the people of little faith not eating meat....so yeah i think you should eat it. And that verse you brought up was nefore sin had entered the world. Before sin entered the world and even animals didn't kill becasue there was no death.
