I can't help it. It's driving me crazy. I would like some information from anybody who was around when Nixon and Ford were President. I can understand that people want to speak well of the dead, and comfort the families, and maybe downplay some of the bad stuff they did... What's driving me crazy is seeing the TV talk about what a great President he was, and even referring to the pardoning of Nixon as a good thing! I don't get it! Why? Why do people want our presidents to be above the law? I have talked to some of my older friends in RL, but they kinda think like me.. The least negative way I've heard it put is that since Ford rode in on Nixon's coattails, it is to be expected that Ford would pardon him... Yes, I could just use google or wiki and get a ton of information, I'm sure. But I value the experiences and wisdom of our elders, so I would rather hear from people who were there first. Was Ford a good President? Why or why not? Did you vote for him? Why or why not?

it seems to happen with all of the presidents.... everyone hates what they do while they were in office, but after they die, they are all of a sudden seen as the greatest people in history.... pretty ridiculous if you ask me
