Ok. I asked Jesus to be my savior, but I don't feel any different. Plus, sometimes I think that God isn't there for me. And two last things, I don't want to go to hell even though I have asked Jesus to save me, and I don't want to me to die soon or the world to end soon. (But those last two can't really be helped, can they?) So, I'm asking you kindly to try to help me. Why the heck is there a :evil: sign?

We have to rememebr that being a christian isn't an emotional thing, it's great to feel all on fire for God, and I wish that I could feel that way all the time. The fact of the matter though is that I can't, and we can't base our salvation on how spiritual we're feeling. This is another one of the things we cannot base solely on out emotions, especially as women because we tend to run our lives by them:) We just have to know that it says in the Bible that the Lord God will always be with us. Is that it? 1. Philippians 1:6 being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. A lot this keeps coming back to our emotions..if you have repented, asked the Lord into your heart, and TURNED AWAY from your old way of life then you are saved. If anyone can find this verse I would be really grateful...I've been looking for it but can't find it...It says something about "you will know them by their fruits" and he's talking about christians. Good works does not get us into heaven, but they are evidence of our salvation.

I agree with Emmy. You can also read Isaiah 43:1-13. That passage helps me when I feel like God isn't there for me.
