I have finally watched the LotR trilogy, and I want to know some feedback on the book.

If anything, the books are better than the movies.

It depends on your level of patience, I guess. The LOTR books are more like two oe three books in one, so they can be kinda hard to follow, but Tolkien did an excellent job of really seperating the different stories and such. They are also super detailed, and the dialog isn't like most books. That being said, I like them probably as much as the movies. Tolkien writes as though he were one of the characters, or an observer writing down what he sees. He has an increadible writing style that I personally envy. Even as the stories get darker, he writes the stories with almost child-like innocence. The depth of this fantasy world, to me, is amazing. I can almost see myself getting on a plane and flying there! I could go on, but he short side of it is if you've got the patience to read some long books, it's worth it!!! :)

The movies are much better imo.

The books are better. 1000x better. There's so much stuff that they leave out of the movies (of course, the movies were pretty long as it is). Also: for a better LOTR experience, watch the extended versions of all three movies, I've heard they stick to the book a LOT better.

So it is following the book more, but only because stuff was originally taken out to keep the movie down to 3 hours.

I hope they make a movie of The Hobbit. The book was really good so just imagine how good the movie could be.

They need to do that
