First, let me say that this is not an attack on any of you or Mypraize itself. I saw a little tension in a thread where some of us were offended that someone claimed some god higher than God himself. Some of you may not understand why a few of us have gotten a little upset with this website. I remember back when the discussions where purely of the Christian faith and we talked about the Bible. It was a Christian forum. Things have changed, A LOT. We have atheists and people of other religions on here that argue their points of view everywhere. They have the right to do it, and there's nothing wrong with that. A majority of us like it. But for a few of us who come searching for Christian advice and fellowship, it can be very disappointing. I can't make one forum without my religious point of view being attacked and I never have enough Christians commenting and helping me through the same faith I have. I feel like every time I make a religious statement I have to beg that it won't turn a discussion into a debate about the belief itself. You guys have made me think, and thats great. This is a great website if you want to debate belief systems and such. But if you want discussion with fellow Christians, you might as well leave and find another place to go. I keep coming back because this forum is familiar to me and I hate going to forums that aren't familiar. Also, this website is very well organized and there aren't too many people. So, yes, I'll be checking some other forums out. No offense to any of you, I'm just explaining how I feel through my point of view. You may love this place, and that's great. But its not for me.

I've felt that way too. That's why I don't post much on here anymore. Every time it's a subject on Christianity, someone comes in with some anti-Christian view. I remember when it seemed like there was a standard. Sure we would disagree, but there wasn't the "Your imaginary friend..." rhetoric. I do get tired of it. I've been on another forum site more here lately.

Now, I am neutral in this post, so what I say shouldn't not be taken as if I am taking sides. Kay? Kay. You are looking at yourselves and not the Athiests or other religious believers. You may think that you are the only ones getting attacked, but you are not. I see comments, constantly, in blogs about how 'Athiests are stupid' or some other undesirable statement. I understand that their faith is different and it is kind of insulting to others that they don't believe in a G-d or Religious figure, but G-d gave us a mind to think, to choose. You have to respect their choices in religious figures, as they should respect your choices in religious figures. Complaining like you did above, is like fueling a flame, a flame that is already uncontrollable. What caused this fire in the first place? I believe that it is us Christians, and all other religious people out there not thinking about others. We keep thinking about our own religion and say that everyone else is wrong. What you should do, is respect their thoughts and beliefs and just state what yours are nicely, without trying to say that they are wrong, or that you are right. Now I am not saying that you two are doing this, but what was said above doesn't help at all. Even I, although you said not to be offended, am seriously offended by the post. Just because it is a 'Christian Forum' doesn't mean that it has to be limited to that religion. Have a good day, William

I'm sorry I didn't mean this as an attack. I don't remember ever calling atheists or anyone else on these forums stupid. If you take what I'm saying as offensive and as a complaint then I'm very sorry. Its fine that people of others beliefs are on here, and I agree that we have Christians here who do just as much(and some more) insulting as others do. I'm simply saying that I'd prefer to find another forum on which I can discuss my faith with others who share it without having it attacked. I'm sure a Buddhist would like to go to a Buddhist forum to discuss his faith without having a Christian try to combat his beliefs and I'm sure an Atheist would like to go on an Atheist forum to discuss his beliefs without a Christian insulting everything he says. And yeah, you're right, I am fueling a potential fire, which is why I should probably leave. If I'm not comfortable in these forums I shouldn't stand around ruining it for the rest. Sorry! bye!

I don't want any Trinity arguments here. I'm only stating what I believe. I believe in God. I believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as His son while being God Himself. I believe in the Holy Spirit. I'm an ungodly nothing, fool, and sinner without God in my life. I enjoy socializing with Christians, Messianic and Jewish peoples. I even enjoy socializing with atheists. There are tines when I only want to converse with Christians; but then there's time when I want to converse with Jews and all. Just don't be impolite with me or my beliefs. No one has to give up common decency and manners with people. This is something I've learned in life for over 30 years. You all will know what I mean as you all get older, more mature.

My posts weren't meant to be taken as an insult or a reason for a fight. Yes, this is still a Christian forum because, one, Christians still answer. Two, I asked questions about 2-3 months ago, and got a good amount of replies. One last thing to consider is, there is a reason the creators of MyPraize put more than one type of religion when you first create your account. Just some things to ponder on. I'm doing alright. I felt a bit nauseated (cancer treatments) when my group went to eat at Pizza Hut yesterday. I ate what was for me a BIG meal ( 4 pieces of sliver pizza, one scoop of pasta, one small salad, and 2 cinnamon sticks). i'm going out again today to do a bit of food shopping and pick up my prescription (Ultram). It's the strongest non-narcotic pain killer out there (knees). I'll be going to a pj pot luck breakfast about 5pm at my apts' community room tonight. hopefully, I'll find a ride to a baby shower tomorrow night. Also Brandon: PHHHHT! :laugh: :P Update- did not go to breakfast with my apt people. I was too zonked out from the shopping. We shopped in 3 stores: Kroger, Wal-mart, and Vista Foods. I was so tired when i came back that I went to bed after lunch and got up circa 4:30pm and the breakfast started at 5pm. didn't want to coo, plus was to tired and achy to go. I forgot the Tylenal this am, and getting in and out of the car tuckered me out. The treatments also fatigue me.
