It's official, many here on Mypraize are no different than a lot on myspace other than the fact that they don't allow certain things that myspace does. When I signed on, I wanted a place to go where everyone had a heart to love and serve God no matter what, but I'd rather deal with a whole bunch of non-believers proving me wrong on things that are scripturally proved right (such as expelling ungodly entertainment) than a bunch of believers that prove with their own words (not God's) that secular entertainment is okay. We should be casting these things out of our hearts and instead I find many of you welcoming it. Yes I understand that Jesus hung out with sinners and proclaimed himself to them. Those people had turned their hearts away from God and had no one to look up to, and Jesus was the one that changed their hearts. But many of you know about God and still turn your ears and hearts away from the heart and soul of the truth of his teachings. So many of you think that teen mariage is wierd, and letting women stay at home and not conquering the workforce is strange.Yet looking at pornographic (immodest) entertainment and profane music that does something[b] far[/b] from glorify God (or talk about the life they once led and how it has changed trough the Lord) is okay?! I am appalled that it seems half of the people on here can even dare utter God's name without being smiten in their footsteps. Read Matthew chapter 7:19-21 "he who does the will of my father" Do you think that pink floyd (people who abuse drugs) and green day (anarchists and foulmouths) and Panic!at the disco (people who talk about sinful things ["praying for love in a lapdance"] and use God's name in vain repeatedly in a few songs) that we as believers should allow ourselves to be open to this is the will of our father?!? Then I will pray for you and hope that something happens in your heart to where you will see more clearly. Sure Paul became "all things to all men" but that verse has been abused and entirely taken out of context. He became a slave (lowered himself to them) and proclaimed the gospel to them to where it would identify with them, but you don't have to go out there and become a slave (to sin) in order to be able to relate to the other slaves (to sin). [size=5]WAKE UP!!![/size] If you want more scriptural proof, then look in the debate forum under the topic "is disney evil" and look in the latter portion of the topic. I'm sure you'll see what I mean. I'm not saying that I am sinless because I do still struggle with a lot of things, but I do not intentionally open myself up to these APPARENTLY sinful things to try to relate to all of the "sinners" in the world. Mypraize should be ashamed for what it has become.

Sorry I don't think you know what you are talking about...But I have to say the music (worldly) I can see where you are coming from...Teen marriage is wired and moms staying home in today's world is not the norm so yes it is strange...but when people are talking about porn and stuff like that not strange...when we talk about it we are not OKing it...it is a fact the 45% of pastors struggles with porn...so it 45% of pastor do what do you think about people that are not pastor it is stated on a Christian sight that 85% of Christian struggle with porn and stuff that come along with it...So sister I think you need to WAKE UP...Christian need to come to a place where they can open up and find love and support with help to find where they need to be in their walk...Thank you

I'm gonna have to say that all of you make some pretty good points. I think the main problem is how the initial post sounded, it seemed pretty rude but I can understand, I tend to be a bit rude myself when I feel passionate about something like that. I will say this, there is a bad problem with "Christians" not living as they are called to live. If we all lived as "Christians -like Christ" then we would not see people wearing revealing clothing in church, we would not see pop stars in the Christian genre wearing provocative atire, I'm sorry but tank tops and short shorts are a stumbbling block for many men and it is very distracting to be in church and to have an attractive woman sitting across from you wearing clothing that reveals a bit too much. The Bible says that women should be meak, soft spoken and to wear modest clothing (sorry ladies, but it is true) And if we as Christians were living right then we would have a zero divorce rate, a zero spousal abuse rate, a zero child abuse rate, and if America was a Christian nation as it was intended then we would have no more bars, stripclubs, porn stores or liquer stores, and that my friends is what a true revival in America would be like. I could go on forever but I think most of you can see where I am going, but on a final note, if we followed God's word then we would not have to vote to determine that it is wrong for gays to be married...

Now, back to the original topic at hand. You can't take yourself out of the world. You have to eat, you have to bathe and you have to breathe. You shouldn't[b]ENTERTAIN YOURSELF WITH ANYTHING WORLDLY[/b]. That is my point.
