Not all monsters...

I went over to the house of two girls who I have known for a long time and have a brother/sister relationship with both of them. One of them had a seven week old son who she wanted me to see, and the other had a year old son that I haven't seen in a while. I didn't know that they were also babysitting a 2 year old girl. The older sister was holding her when I walked in and I gave both of my "sisters" a hug. I started picking on the young girl a little bit and she started to cling to the one holding her. She then told me that the girl didn't like men because her step-father beat her and molested her. I then saw the bruise under her eye that was clearly a fist mark. I knew then to take it slow with her. I started spending more time with my "sisters," talking with them, playing with their kids... Eventually, the 2 year old started getting a little closer to me, a little at a time. She eventually got right by my side and grabbed my arm to put it around her. She then climbed in my lap. A little while later she got up and sat down on the couch on the other side of the room. She was playing with an old flip phone and she dropped it. I got up and picked it up and she started saying, "My phone." I was arguing with her a little bit saying, "My phone." We went back and forth like that for a little while and then she said, "I want the phone." I replied, "I want a hug." That went back and forth a little while and I said "If I give you the phone, will you give me a hug?" She nodded her head and then I gave her the phone. Then she leaned forward and gave me a kiss on the cheek. The older sister said that her mother would never believe that she did that because of the fact that she has always pushed men away. It just feels so great to have taken some time to invest in her life and show her that not all men are monsters.

That is an amazing story! I wish I could make the same kind of impact on someone as greatly as you just did! Thanks for the encouragement! -William (TrueTalent)

It was definitely a blessing more than I could put into words.

Yeah, I am relieved to hear that this girl has had someone touch her heart in a way that has changed the ways her father has engraved into her brain. It's nice to hear that someone actually cares about someone else out there. I guess this is thanks, to you, and any others that would of done the same thing, and really mean it! -William (TrueTalent)

Haha, Not trying to burst your bubbles guys, but we are getting off subject. I think that we should divert this conversation elsewhere? Anyone agree?

Serf, The only thing keeping me from spazzing my keyboard and spamming this post with laughing faces is: 1) I am way to tired to get all that down 2) I would probably get in trouble for spazzing 3) It would wake up my parents leading to my laptop being taken away xD XD! OH MY! Is that funny though! I wonder who took the time to actually do that
