OK. Well, I have been very moody for the past three days (being as it's my certain time of month :( ) so my mom and I have been having problems because I am moody and apparently she doesnt like that. Saturday she had to speak with me twice, yesterday about maybe three times, and today like twice. Being on your period is certainly not an excuse for acting that way in my house, even though it's the truth and excuse. I really can't help being moody while being on it, and my mom just punishes me for being moody. Not very fun or fair......right? So, by any chance, do you ladies have advice for me? No, I'm not going to explain that it's mood swings, because she will say,"Courtney, I have that too, but do you see me being moody? I think not. So you need to stop now." and then I would probably get punished. So, please remember to keep me in your prayers to stop being moody (apparently because there is no other way out of this) or please give advice. As much advice as you can give me would help a lot. Please. -Courtney :( P.S- sorry for some venting.

Venting is all good chica *hug* I don't really have any advice apart from pray about it. Try and take some nice deep breaths and if you feel yourself getting moody take a break and do something that relaxes you :)

I know that this will make it sound like I'm a druggie or something, but I take 4-6 midol everyday that I'm on my period, and it really helps. I take 2 in the morning, 2 after school, and 2 before I go to bed.... It really helps me from being so depressed and whatnot, plus I don't get bloating near as bad, and from what I've been told, I'm one of the blessed souls that doesn't get cramps, but it helps with those too I guess.

Wow, that's a lot of Midol. I only take about two advil every morning when I'm on my period to help with cramps. Twiggy, (if you don't mind me calling you that =)) we are teenagers, and as teenagers some are more moody than others. I'm sorry if your mom doesn't realize that, (no offense) but it's what teenagers are usually stereotyped as: moody. I personally get extremely moody, frustrated, and irritated, and my mom understands why I come home from school so angry at the world at times. So, just relax, (I know that doesn't sound like an option) talk to your mom. Sit down with her, apologize, and say that you really don't mean the things you say and the way you act. I will keep you in my prayers. Another good thing too is to just lay down and listen to some music and think and relax. I ususally do this and it helps to clear my head. Read your Bible as well. They're is some very good passages about anger and fighting as well as obeying your parents. I hope it all works out. =) *hugs*

I get cramps every time and let me tell you they are not fun what-so-ever. I usually just take two advil in the morning when I'm on it.

I know, sometimes I stay home from school. What I realized about them is that it's not just the cramps themselves that hurts, it's just enduring them and trying to make them go away. Take a bath, exercise, or put a hot pad on them. That always helps.

I guess that I get irritated with her at that time so it seems like I'm moody so I wouldn't be in a happy mood. I have been reading my Bible. Can you give me the verses about the "anger" and "fighting & obeying your parents"? That would be helpful =] Thanks!
